The PL Touch cold laser treatment is an innovative technology designed to reduce inflammation and minimize pain after an operation. At our practice, Dr. Charles Perry typically uses this device with individuals who have had breast surgery or a facelift. We believe this state-of-the-art laser can improve your post-operative healing and provide a more pleasant experience from start-to-finish.
The PL Touch is a type of low-level laser therapy, also known as cold laser therapy. The treatment does not feel cool on the skin; cold laser therapy simply means it will not produce heat. When applied to the affected area, the healing properties of the laser’s wavelength help to reduce inflammation (swelling) and accelerate the recovery process. Since it can restore damaged or injured tissue, PL Touch can be a useful treatment for capsular contracture (a medical condition where the scar tissue around breast implants becomes hard and painful).
